Utter randomness and spontaneity (Spore trip)

It all started with this....
And I was like, eh? What is this guy up to? Where is he heading?
(Dialogue is not exactly the same but accurate representative of it)

And so I went:

'Hey where are you going lar?'
'Abroad~'
'Which country la??'
'The land of Lion, Singapore!'
'Wait... abroad.... with a BIKE??'
'Yeap'

I was like.... Dafuqqqq?!
And I kept asking him for more details as the conversation had my adrenaline pumping.

Initially I thought he is so hardcore, cycling from Serdang all the way to Spore! But then only I understand that we will be sitting bus to Spore and tour the island instead. Ahahaha

That, was Thursday night.
The trip, will be on Saturday morning.
Checked passport, it is still valid, alright good to go!
Get a bike on Friday, a fold-able ones! And good, I'm ready to go!

And so, the journey that is totally unplanned (by me actually, Christopher planned to have it all along~) begins! (Dramaticnyaaaa)

There were some mishap here and there due to my lack of preparation and inadequacy in travelling experience.

1st case: I didn't bring enough RM to be converted to SGD (and the rate is 2.6 now mind you! oh so pain!) And so we have to stop awhile at the customs area just to find an ATM machine and take more money out, and that is when the 2nd case happened.

2nd case:
*After disembarking from bus in custom*
Chris: 'Eh, how come you looked so relax ah? I remember you got another orange luggage with you wan wor?'
Me: *total silence*
Chris: 'Don't tell me.......'
Me:  'Shit.'
That was all that I could utter, panic strike! Luckily he was quite steady and calmed me down.
His action was worth learning, when we face a problem, instead of lamenting on how clumsy, or kept thinking 'OH I SHOULD HAVE CHECK IT' and stuff like that, we should be calm, and find for a solution immediately.

He took out his broadband, find the contact for the bus company, contacted the hotline, and managed to track down the schedule of the bus. See, ini macam baru pro ma~~ It was a true relieve that he is around to help me out!

Fortunately (in a way) that luggage only contained things like clothes and toothbrush, all the essential items like wallet, passport and HP is still with me~ So we have decided to take the luggage on the way back BTS instead! And so I travel to Singapore only with the set of cloths I'm wearing. haha.

As soon as we reached Woodlands.
Yeap thats my bike~ See the relative size of the bike frame, and wheels compared to my body. Hahaha, I personally prefer bigger bikes, more power, but then, in order to travel around city and fit into buses/MRT, this is the only choice~

*Ignore my noob face, lol*
The 3 of us, cycling around Spore~

Basically the cycling is fun and all, and previous leg training minimize my fatigue of cycling. But..... my BUTT.IS.SERIOUSLY.HURTTTT!!!

Seriously, I have no idea why it is in such pain, maybe cuz its the first time since many years that I cycled, and we started of with such 'extreme' (in my definition lol) journey. Imagine the pain when you cycled for a duration, and when you lift your ass from the bike seat, the whole body is paralyzed from the pain for like 2-3 seconds..
And everytime the bike pass by a dent/bump/irregular surface on the road, I would just winced in pain. That was the biggest drawback, but in a way invaluable experience for this journey!

Things that I notice in Spore:

1) There are a lot of personal business-supermarkets there, unlike here in Msia, most of it dominated by hypermarkets like Giant, Tesco etc.

2) Its FREAKING HARD TO BUY AN UNDERWEAR

3) They will look at you one kind when you carry those bags of bikes around (well mayb this happens in Msia too lol idk)

4) The availability of cycling lane makes a lot of Singaporean bikers! It is regular to see people travelling around using bicycle!

5) A lot of things in Singapore is concerned with Fine. There is an underground ramp (just like jejantas, but its underground) to cross over the road. Cycling there will be fined 1000 FREAKING SGD. (wattaf?!) And then I saw a road sign saying something about expressway, and I think it has to do with the smart tag thingy, and then it says something like 'Singaporean will be fined 500 SGD if x comply with that'. And do you know that if you do not install a head and tail light on ur bike, u will b fined for 20 SGD after 630pm? *random facts of the day lol*

6) There is Green curry Mcchicken in Spore MCD branches! Mcdeluxe burger with green curry sauce, bt i still prefer the original ones. And do you know there are no refills of soft drinks in MCD Spore? Ahhh so paisehhhhhhhhhh lol
Another pic of my cute little bike. lol

So we cycled all day long, and reached Changi Beach at night. It was really nice (but sadly no pic available) with the sea breeze and all, and it was quite a sight that there are actually a lot of ppl that BBQ and pitch their camps to overnight there! Where to see such sight in Msia!

And after about 15 minutes.. Thunderstorm occurred.

Rushed to a pondok, and a group of people just ended their bbq party and packing things to go home. We were drenching wet but they did not invite us to come inside, instead, we have to inch our way to the edge of the pondok, close enough just not to be soaked under the rain..

Suddenly, a wild cat appeared with its dripping wet body and appeared to be cold and hungry. And suddenly, somehow I empathize the cat, maybe because we are in a similar condition as well, cold, and just ate a few bread for dinner. *sad background music*

Then, christopher was like, hey, airport is just another 4.6 km away!! I was in quite a painful situation at that time, my ass was literally killing me! But then, weighing the risk of overnight in this unguarded beach with so many strangers, its better staying in the airport, at least there is less danger, and protected from rain. haha

So, we decided to cycle to the airport, cuz we THOUGHT it was 4.6km onli...

Manatau......

(the story shall continue in the next post cuz i'm leaving for lunch now, kbye! lol)

Uncertainties.

Dubious, uneasiness, anxious, ambivalence, you name it. These are all emotions that we will come across some days in our lives.
In fact, some of us are troubled by it, every single day, by every decisions to be made, big or small.

Nevertheless, it is our choice, our responsibility.

Choosing a school:
Am I stepping into the right school?

Getting into f4:
Science stream or art stream?

Finishing f5:
Public or private institution, or in some, to work?

Getting into an institution:
Which program guarantees my success?

Finishing basic tertiary education:
To further study or jump into work force?

And, the one to be discussed today:
Is she/he really the one for me?

This is, IMO,is a question that posed in front of everyone, before they decide to engage in a serious relationship. Why this sudden realization you might ask. Haha, it all stems out from the party last night, when everyone was excitedly drinking, gambling and stuff, a few of us decided to just sit in a corner and talked about random stuff about relationship, while, of course, not forgetting to gossip around lol.

Gathering around with friends activates my 8-gua gene all the time. lol

Aaaanyway, back to the topic. So this is the question.. Is he/she the one for me?

Most of the time, if not all, is when a guy likes a girl, and his 'good feelings' (I shall categorize a relationship into 3 levels, from good feeling --> like --> love) is well reciprocated by the girl as well. Both of them likes each other and felt good when being together, but somehow, the doubt arises.

Is this feeling true? Am I really loving him/her or is this just an expression of concern due to the lack of companion / social norm of being into a relationship / peer pressure?

How is his/her treatment to me different compared to other boy/girls?

Is it really possible to know how and where this relationship will be, if we do not give each other a chance to know each other more? The transition from 'feeling good' to 'like' requires a period of time where both of them know each others' longs and shorts, while from 'like' to 'love', in my opinion, requires maturation of the bonding that can be acquired only through hardships and resolved conflicts. Accepting him/her as who he/she is.

You know, there is a saying that goes, 'do not commit into a relationship if you are unsure of your feeling, it is not child's play you know!'
But, again, is it possible to be sure of your own feeling before committing into a relationship? This is not rhetoric, I do hope for some answers from the readers. haha.

But today, I'm truly lucky and blessed to have made the first move, well, after being brain-washed by her friends. hahahaha~

Even the scenario stated above occurred to me, uncertainties of my own feeling + afraid of being rejected halted me from doing the right thing - to pursue what I've been longing for. A companion.

That is why, I'm happy that I did something brave, courageous and dispelled my uncertainties 158 days back =)

The Sunshine that makes me smile all the time, you are, and always will be <3 br="">

Better late than never!

2nd Day~
I know it has been some time since the last post, that I promised to have it on sooner but oh well, the lazy gene in me prevailed ~.~

The first destination that we went for the 2nd day!
Lang Tengah! Its a great place for phototaking =D the breeze is just lovely! Plus, a symbolic place that we've been to Langkawi before. hahaha
Actually, anywhere with breeze is great, I just love the feeling of the air from the sea gushing against me =)

And next we continued on to the Taman Lagenda (literally translates to The Legendary Garden), which I don't see any point why we should go there at the first place..
Aside from this stretch of road lined by trees (most of em dead trees mind you!), the whole garden has nothing more to see.
Well at least this road serves as a good photoshooting spot as well~ (yi lu he ni zou xia qu =D)

But, oh well, too bad I'm just too un-romantic to say out those words and to take some romantic, scenic picture.

"Wow, what a nice scenery over here!"
"Yeah, lets take some picture of us in half squat  position with a constipated look on our faces!"

Well, that pretty up sums up the picture above. lol (Jump-shot fail)

Next stop, we went to the cable car area.
In which we'd decided to give up on it because we have to wait for MORE THAN 2 HOURS just to have a ride on the cable car.
Plus, the skybridge is under maintenance so once we got up there, there will be nothing much for us to see anyway~ (Self consolation)

Since there's nothing much to see in the cable car place (I forgot the exact name actuallyyyyy) we went to the nearest tourist spot beside it~Telaga Tujuh waterfall!

The road up was kinda steep!
Ok, failed illusion lol but yeahh I hope I made my point hahaa

And the climb uphill was not rewarding, AT ALL! Why?
This is what we got! Walaoo ehh! They should rename the waterfall into waterTRICKLE ~.~
I don't know, was it afflicted with drought or something??

Random picture: Miss L, so cute, hahahahaha, macam some small kid thinking of getting down to water or not~

And next!  (Yeah our agenda is kinda packed I guess. lol)
Initially we wanted to go to Pantai Pasir Hitam + Gunung Tengkorak. But a few locals said that there is nothing worth going over that 2 places, so, we directly went to Pantai Cenang, cuz its one of the most happening place in Langkawi! =D

Waiting for the sun to set (it was about 5+pm near 6 at that time) Look at the ray that reflected on the water, and some of the rays that is dissipating through the clouds. And a GREAT bonus point of being really really windy! Love it =D

I just love candid pictures =D

And this is one sad story. Once upon a time, starfish A was swimming (do they actually swim??! IDK lol) innocently along the beach, searching for his (or her, well IDK as well hahah) long lost son starfish B
Suddenly! A group of  reckless young teens came along, picked him up, shoved him up to the beach, flip it over and stick starfish B on it!
Forced copulationnnnnnnnnn (forced rape of starfish muhaha) The end.

ok. something random that we did on the beach lol

Love this the most =D

It was all very fun, but the main objective for us to be there, to see the sun set, was disrupted by an untimely clump of clouds. But nevertheless it was fun going to the beach just to relax =D

Anddddd, finally! The 2nd day comes to an end, a few rounds of gossiping before falling to sleep (no alcohol YET, cuz the next day we have to go snorkeling early in the morning~)
Couple sweater between me and her, unplanned hahaha, and we even brought the same plastic, unplanned, woohoo~ lol ok nth much jz randomly saying kthxbai till the next post!!

2nd Pomelo Trip!

I'm sure some, if not most of you know that I went to Langkawi few weeks earlier, on 15-18th January. If my memory is not playing a trick on me, I guess its my first time of me stepping on that island! Well, here goes!

Day 1
Our flight is on  6.45pm, so the first day's plan was to fly there and take some good rest, while eating the SUPPOSEDLY nice and cheap seafood in Langkawi! (Well, the logic goes that Langkawi is an island and its surrounded with fresh seafood thus the abundance will cut the cost while promising quality delicacy but oh well, you can say I dream too much ~.~)
As we arrived Langkawi and planning for dinner. Waze is an indispensable apps for that period!

Well, one thing I've learned for sure is that, NEVER, EVER, TRUST ENTIRELY UPON REVIEW!

'XX restaurant is famous for their fresh and cheap seafood.'
' Nice.'
'A must-go place while visiting Langkawi!'

And all these review really did make me feel like 'OH YEAH AWESOME WE GONNA GET SOME REAL NICE FOOD TODAYYY!'
Turned out to be a big disappointment =.= the standard is even worse than that of KL, and the price is not that cheap too.
Funny thing is that, when we asked the uncle about the famous dishes of his restaurant:
Me: 'Uncle, so what's your famous seafood dishes over here ah?'
Uncle: 'We only have what we have in the menu, anyway, roasted chicken is famous here'
SEAFOOD RESTAURANT FAMOUS FOR ROASTER CHICKEN!!
Ok, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but still, I cant hide my disappointment. Grrr.

Then we go jalan jalan pasar malam, and went back hotel and sleep. Not much of activity for day 1! I guess everybody is tired from traveling on that day. You might ask, 'why Langkawi if no booze!?'
That, is for the 2nd day. But I must say, I was having insomnia for the first day due to several reason. (Little deer randomly collide)

Ok, till the next post! hahaha

LOST IN APEK HILL!!!!

Partially.
Tend to grab your attention.
And if you've managed to read till this sentence, ok I succeeded! lol, anyway, Apek hill.... Not-so-pleasant experience for today!

Left my hse at about 6.15am, reached the entrance of Apek hill at 7am because went to the wrong place.

Long story short, started hiking at about 7.15am. What's the first step in hiking? Warm up? Explanation of safety precautionary steps? NO!
Set up code name! haha xD
Our group of 5 consists of : Satay, Leng Lui Yan, Ali, 33 and CT, special name right? hahah, since they say we should not use our true name in forest for reasons that I have no idea why!

Jalan jalan trek trek, we managed to reach the waterfall quite late.. At about 10am+ if I'm not mistaken, this is due to the stamina of one of us is not that strongggggggggg (my advise, we really have to have basic stamina requirement before hiking to make the whole journey more enjoyable!)

Reached the waterfall, ignore my expression please -.- (thats my expression haha)
Guess who is who!

Anyway, what I can say is that, the size and view of the waterfall is really.... DISAPPOINTING!

Its so small, so low and so shallow!! All the effort to go all the way is not worth it at all! Although I do enjoy the process of hiking lar...

Sigh, kena con liao, and I thought the waterfall would be something like this:
Okay, might be exaggerating a bit lol~
But actually its only something like this:

Sigh..... The water only reaches about my ankle level! So miniature =/

And so we turned back rather disappointed as we were expecting something greater, as we are descending down the hill:
Gym equipments! Who would have thought that in the middle of nowhere something like this appears! lol

P/S: Ignore my pink shirt and sexy upper part please. lol

And this is the part, the day where I should not trust others easily. FYI, there are A LOT of different route either going uphill or downhill, thus in the middle way of going downhill we asked a passerby for direction, and she pointed the wrong way!!

So we ended up going down the longer and harder way, reaching the bottom of the hill at 12pm... Imagine that...

And, that's not all!!

We ended up at the wrong exit as we were during the entrance!
Dragging the tired body with sore leg and growling stomach for another 2km under the scorching sun...!!!

At last... We manage to reach back our car at about 12.45pm.... Sigh, tough hike...

So, that's the imba journey we had for today, PARTIALLY lost in Apek Hill, the address is all very misleading and I advise others who intend to hike there, PLEASEEE check your GPS properly before heading there! Like, seriously =l

Anyway, before I end the post today,
Starting violin with babysteps now =)

Oh well, at least I know how to play a 'Happy Birthday' song! Hahaha, currently practicing on Disney's pieces, as Miss L loves it much =)

That's all, till the next time folks! Peace! =D

Looking around

Wow I can still see a lot of my friends are still actively blogging, while me,  *touches blogger e-dust* its 50 inches thick!

From this I can see that my power of persistence is not as good as others, at least in terms of blogging. =/ Oh well, ok skip!

Just figured out that I should rekindle my blogging habit as my brain is turning rusty from the lack of thinking and force feeding of medical knowledge. I tend to be less creative and less receptive, in other words, I AM EVOLVING INTO A SLOWPOKE!!

Ok, so I reckon this might be a way to sharpen my mind, aside from Dota 2, yea I STRONGLY believe that helps too! =p

Its fun to have someone with sharp mind and some sense of humour around, it really lightens up the whole atmosphere! And this is important now because... It would be a better companion if you are a funny one =D

And, as you guys know, its 2014 now...! Woohoo HAPPY NEW YEAR! (Confetti + fireworks + blasting sound effect)
That's partially why I wana blog again, lol
Oh well, at least I am trying. lol, his expression is epic though.

So, as most of you all have read thru the previous post, I believe you all know that I am 'occupied' now. But truth to be told, actually, are there really GREAT differences between single and having a partner? Just curious.

 #1
For me, there is this weird longing sense all the time, but somehow, this would not compel me to find her all the time! When I was single, of course this is non existent and there wont be particular someone in my mind all the time even though the thing I'm doing has nothing to do with her!
The #justwanabewithyou feeling is too damn high! -.-

 #2
When I was single, I looked at other girls all the time. Now that I'm in a relationship, I still look at other girls all the time xD

#3
This I must admit, after being into a relationship, I tend to over think at times, I'm worried if my action will result in a wrong doing. How to do this/that etc, but I guess I just have to ease off and let it flow. But then, I still think that some effort has to be done to maintain a happy/healthy relationship! Cant be letting it spinning wildly around right?

#4
I want to know every single details of her if possible, but due to my laziness, it has not been completely done. hahaha. Which, if previously someone ask me to do that, I will be like...
#5
My tongue has not been any sweeter before. Which sometimes its kinda.... weird for me to accept as well. I have the perception that love has to be expressed, of course, conveniently by words, but action speaks louder and thus, I have to do more and talk less!

Anyway, that's what I think la, actually I don't really know what I'm writing as well, so, yeah.

Going Apek hill tomorrow with housemate, 2 more final papers before I'm liberated!!! =D

Till then guys, see ya! =)
